Some of the junior children at Lake Tekapo School, in the South Island of New Zealand, have sent their Flat Stanley’s on an adventure to Indonesia. Their class is learning about different cultures and their Stanleys are going to help out by sharing their experiences in Indonesia and maybe other destinations.

Amed, Bali

From Seminyak the Flat Stanleys and I took a shuttle to Amed.

Amed is a quiet town on the Northeastern coast of Bali. The locals make their money through tourism, fishing and salt. They cart water from the sea and dry it out to get the salt out.

Photo coming

I went snorkeling off the beach where I was staying. The coral was mostly dead but there were a lot of fish close to the shore.
