Some of the junior children at Lake Tekapo School, in the South Island of New Zealand, have sent their Flat Stanley’s on an adventure to Indonesia. Their class is learning about different cultures and their Stanleys are going to help out by sharing their experiences in Indonesia and maybe other destinations.

Food in Malaysia

You can get many different foods from different countries in Kuala Lumpur.  Here are some of the ones I tried.

Peanuts, dried anchovies, egg, Chicken Rendang, Prawn Sambal, deep fried mushrooms, cucumber, chili sauce.

Dumpling soup and fried noodles

Laksa and Top Hats

Rice porridge, fried chicken and iced Milo

This was called Roti Bakar. It was kind of cooked eggs and toast with butter and honey. I didn't eat the eggs!

Prawn dumplings and green tea

Siu Mai (Pork and prawn)
Palak Paneer (cheese in a spinach gravy)

When I visited a supermarket I took some photos of things I thought you might find interesting.

Chicken feet

Green Tea Kit Kat

Fish Crackers

Lots and lots of instant noodles!

And some more food

An add for KFC. There was another one with sambal (chili) sauce.

Lots of donuts
